They come from our European neighbors!

Germany, Portugal, Italy, Spain, these are our close neighbors and their textile expertise has won us over. That's why we have created our own selection of fabrics made in Europe . Geographically close countries, for more reactivity, a superior quality tested and approved, and a measured carbon footprint, we regularly work with European suppliers.

Local, quality, good carbon score

Fabrics made in Europe are our pride!

What is a made in Europe fabric? It must have undergone its "last substantial transformation" in the EU or respect a minimum threshold of added value produced in the EU (45%). Discover our complete definition at the bottom of the page.

What is the carbon footprint of a textile made in EU? It is very good, because the electricity produced in our neighbors is certainly more carbon intensive than in France but much less carbon intensive than in Asia, particularly in Spain, Portugal, Belgium.

What is a Made in Europe product? Definition !

To indicate that a product is Made in Europe, theEuropean Union Customs Code requires that the product must :

  • or have undergonein one of the countries of the European Union its last "substantial transformation", which most often corresponds to a change in customs codification (the customs code of the finished product is different from that of the raw materials and components. Example: cotton yarn transformed into fabric, or unbleached fabric that has been bleached or dyed or printed.

  • or to respect aminimum threshold of added value produced in one of the countries of the European Union of the price "exit of factory" (often 45%, it is necessary that 45% at least of the cost of creation of the finished product go in EU).

In short? A fabric whose last step of manufacture (the printing of patterns or dyeing for example) is made in the EU can be called Made In EU. We will therefore follow this categorization rule (even if it has its limits)for more clarity towards our competitors. In the interest oftotal transparency, details of all stages of production are given on our product sheets, such as the countries ofcotton harvesting, spinning, weaving and knitting.
